Double-glazed windows mean that you can minimise your home's heat loss, have less condensation and reduce noise while still retaining existing window function and character.

There are several ways to achieve this with different methods suiting different houses. Whatever method works best for you, the result will be a healthier and warmer home.

Custome Home Products can help you with:

  • Retrofit Double Glazing. This option involves removing glazing beads and opening sashes along with the glass and replacing them with new insulated glass panels, new glazing beads and opening sashes, hinges and handles.

  • Glass Secondary Glazing.  Lightly framed glass fitted in tracks on the inside of your existing windows. This is an economical option that works well with larger strip glazing, but doesn’t suit many domestic situations and is not as efficient as other options.

  • Insert Aluminium Joinery. This means leaving the existing timber outer frame and removing all glazed panels (we can also remove some or all internal vertical, and horizontal mullions and transoms).

  • Full Replacement  Windows and doors can be designed to transform your home's look or retain its character.

We have a range of options available, from very simple panels to heritage double-hung windows that retain the original look and character. Our team can advise on the many glazing options, such as Argon Gas, Low E Gas, tinted glass and safety glazing.
